Our matriarch Mr Meran was sadly run over on the road outside my cottage, Mrs Meran was a huge loss and the net effect was all hens stopped laying eggs for several weeks. This had a knock on effect to donations as there were no eggs to give away for a few weeks, Charolotte from West Burton kindly delivered eggs to add to the stock and bridge the gap, Charolotte also agreed to take the new chicks later and start Yorkshire Cancer Research project 2.
Mr Quakkas and Jemima join the flock of birds, a pair of Mallard Ducks.
The start of Yorkshire Cancer Research Project 2 was Hatched. 8 chicks were hatched and reared and are growing fast.
